UFO-varning

UFO-warning

Have you heard about UFOs? I mean UnFinished Objects. I have a lot of those tucked away in closets, boxes and baskets. Melanie Testa, an American textile artist that I admire a lot, encourages her readers in her latest blog post (October 1, 2010) to air out their closets and display their UFOs in their blogs. So I got out the Top 4 UFOs that I REALLY need to finish, and took a sneaky picure of them, because I don't want to spoil the surprise for the people that they're intended for. ;-)

UFO No. 1: an art doll for someone who's been waiting a long time
UFO No. 2: a small quilt inspired by the techniques that Melanie Testa describes in her book Inspired to Quilt
UFO No. 3: a small quilt with a favourite poem for someone who loves trees
UFO No. 4: a drawing inspired by M.C. Escher and the book Drawing Visual Illusions by Natalie Sirett. I will probably transfer the drawing to fabric and apply it to a tote bag or a t-shirt.

So now you've seen some of my UFOs. I hope this will push me into finally finishing them!

  2. Thanks Melly! This blog is brand new, I started it last Sunday!

And btw, I finished the doll today, but won't upload any pictures of her until I have her delivered to her new owner. I want it to be a surprise. ;-)
